Friends of Fort Defiance in Clarksville, Tennessee will be sponsoring their 3rd annual March To The Past on Sunday, April 22, 2007, from 1 until 5 pm at the fort. Reenactors from the 50th Tennessee Infantry will be there as well as civilian reenactors from the area. Displays on soldier’s rations, quilting, sewing, family life, medicine and soldier life are planned. There will be a cannon firing and a staged takeover of the fort by Federal troops.
